Abstract
1-Benzyl-4-aza-1-azoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane dichromate (BAABCD) is a useful reagent for selective conversion of oximes and semicarbazones to the corresponding carbonyl compounds. The reaction was carried out under solvent-free conditions and in the presence of a catalytic amount of aluminum chloride.
