The Faculty of Physics at University of Isfahan has been a cornerstone of physics research in Iran for over five decades. With 45 faculty members (including 12 full professors) and approximately 600 students across undergraduate, master and PhD programs, the faculty maintains cutting-edge research facilities valued at over $15 million. The Nuclear Physics Research Center operates a 3MV Van de Graaff accelerator, one of only three in Iran. The Condensed Matter Lab features low-temperature equipment reaching 0.3K and high-pressure systems up to 30GPa. The faculty publishes two indexed journals: "Iranian Journal of Physics Research" (ISC) and "Advances in Applied Physics" (Scopus). Recent breakthroughs include the development of radiation detectors for nuclear medicine and contributions to CERN experiments. The faculty hosts the annual International Conference on Contemporary Physics (ICCP) attracting Nobel laureates and leading physicists worldwide. Industrial collaborations include projects with AEOI, Isfahan Nuclear Technology Center, and Isfahan Steel Company.
