Professional activities
I am interested in understanding and developing the following areas: 1) Science Evolution (Science', how is it formed?), 2) Research and Science Evaluation (Is science measurable?), 3) Formation of meaning (How is meaning created within the Semantic Web?), 4) Data Mining, Text Mining, and Knowledge mining (How do we use the techniques and methods of these fields to extract and discover knowledge?, Retrieving and discovering new knowledge from documents' abstracts in scientific databases, and 4) ScientoMining (How to extract and discover new science from knowledge repositories and scientific databases, ScientoMining journal). ScientoMining is an emerging interdisciplinary field and a novel approach that focuses on retrieving, extracting, preprocessing, processing, and analyzing data and knowledge from scientific databases, knowledge repositories, datasets, and organizational, industrial, and scientific information. Its primary goal is to uncover hidden patterns, new science, and generate new knowledge from these sources. Additionally, ScientoMining supports organizations and industries in advancing their goals, policies, and programs, ultimately aiding them in decision-making. The ScientoMining approach incorporates principles, foundations, methods, and techniques from various fields, including: 1) Infometrics, 2) Bibliometrics/Scientometrics, 3) Webometrics, 4) Technometrics, 5) Data Mining, 6) Text Mining, 7) Knowledge Mining (Knowledge Discovery), 8) Web Mining, 9) Technomining, 10) Media Mining, 11) Statistics, 12) Databases, 13) Information Visualization, 14) Big Data, 15) Artificial Intelligence, 16) Machine Learning, 17) Natural Language Processing (NLP), and 18) Information Systems science.
