Abstract

Electron-deficient tin(IV)tetraphenylporphyrin perchlorate, [Sn IV(TPP)(ClO 4) 2] was used as a highly efficient catalyst for chemical fixation of carbon dioxide. The bifunctional catalytic system [Sn(TPP)(ClO 4) 2]/tetrabutylphosphonium bromide (TBPB) was applied for preparation of cyclic carbonates from epoxides and carbon dioxide.
