Biography
I am fascinated by insects, which are considered by many to be the most successful organisms in the Animal Kingdom. Insects display a broad range of morphologies and over the course of my academic career, I have had the opportunity to explore both the nature and the underlying mechanisms that govern this diversity of form and function.
Research Interests
My research interests lie primarily in the area of Insect Diversity, RNAi, Insect Wing Pattern and Phylogenetics. Fauna of medically and agriculturally important insects (Barcoding, Metabarcoding, Mitogenomics) Character evolution in animals and especially insects (Geometric Morphometric) Exploring RNA interference (RNAi) machinery in insects Application and optimization of RNAi to control insects (RNAi and bmRNAi)
