The Faculty of Foreign Languages at University of Isfahan, established in 1975, offers comprehensive programs in English, French, German, and Arabic language and literature, with specialized research centers for translation studies, intercultural communication, and language teaching methodologies.

Organization profile

The Faculty of Foreign Languages at University of Isfahan has been a pioneer in language education and intercultural studies for over 45 years. With 60 faculty members and approximately 1,200 students across four language departments, the faculty offers bachelor and master programs in English Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, and Arabic Language and Literature. The Translation Studies Research Center provides professional translation services to government agencies and publishes the biannual "Journal of Translation Studies". The Language Learning Resource Center features a multimedia lab, simultaneous interpretation booths, and a 20,000-volume specialized library. The faculty hosts the annual International Conference on Foreign Language Teaching which attracts participants from over 30 countries. Special programs include the "Diploma in Professional Translation" and "Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)". The faculty has established academic partnerships with Goethe-Institut, Institut Français, and the British Council for cultural exchange programs and joint research projects. Recent initiatives include developing Persian language courses for non-native speakers and establishing the Center for Persian-Arabic Literary Relations.
