The current study aimed to design the leadership model for knowledge-oriented enterprises in Isfahan province via the mixed-research methodology and the use of the grounded theory in qualitative section. To this end, a group of primary themes was collected during a coding process and some categories were extracted besides performing open interviews with 17 senior managers of knowledge-based enterprises and academic experts. Then, the link between these categories was explained in the form of causal conditions, axial phenomenon, underlying conditions, intervening conditions, and strategies and consequences in the framework of coding paradigm and a theory was created. In the quantitative section, the governing relations and benefits of all major factors of the proposed qualitative model were evaluated and confirmed via structural equation modelling by means of AMOS software. © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.. Purpose: This study aimed at developing and testing a model to evaluate employee performance in Isfahan municipality. Design/methodology/approach: A mixed-method design is applied in this study. To extract the model, a semi-structured interview based on the thematic analysis approach was employed. The qualitative data were obtained using a researcher-made questionnaire from a sample of 12 municipal experts selected based on purposive sampling. In the quantitative phase, the sample consisted of 76 managers and interim managers. The validity of the questionnaire was determined by the content validity index, while the structural validity was tested based on structural equation modeling using SmartPLS software. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability indices. Findings: The factors obtained in the qualitative model included performance evaluation criteria, the desired time interval for performance evaluation, results announcement, performance evaluation approach, performance evaluation method and evaluator-related variables. There should have been an agreement between evaluators and those who were evaluated in all components of the model. In the quantitative section, performance evaluation criteria, evaluators, the evaluation method and time interval were confirmed with coefficients of 0.871, 0.815, 0.646 and 0.615, respectively. Practical implications: The novelty of this study is that it uses a mixed-method research approach to extract a performance evaluation model that is specific to the Isfahan municipality. Originality/value: The novelty of this study is that it uses a mixed-method research approach to extract a performance evaluation model that is specific to the Isfahan municipality. © 2021, Emerald Publishing Limited.

Purpose: The present study aimed to both develop and validate a model for servant leadership in a military context. Design/methodology/approach: The exploratory sequential mixed methods design with two phases was used. Firstly, in the qualitative phase, the process of servant leadership in a military context was developed using a systematic approach of grounded theory. Secondly, in the quantitative phase, the relationship between the components of servant leadership was explained and the developed model was validated. Findings: The result of the qualitative phase show certain personal, organizational and social antecedents form the ideology of sacrifice in leaders which include: spiritually, intelligent and developed personality (personal antecedents); organizational culture, models and incentives (organizational antecedents); and reference groups and social events (social antecedents). The ideology of sacrifice resulted in choosing special behaviors of servant leadership by leaders. These behaviors include: creating service climate; developing standards; building trust; empowering followers comprehensively; and effective persuasion which cause positive personal and organizational outcomes. According to the results of quantitative phase, the proposed model has an appropriate fitness. Practical implications: The results of this research can be used to develop certain criteria for selecting servant leaders. Accordingly, certain training programs can be developed to promote competencies in organizational leaders. Originality/value: To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to develop a model for servant leadership in a military context using a mixed methods design. © 2021 - IOS Press. Social commerce is a new trend in e-commerce powered by social media. In this type of commerce, individuals share their knowledge, information, and experiences about different products and services. This paper employs the stimuli-organism-response model to investigate the factors affecting social commerce intentions among users of social networks a total of 514 persons on three favourite social networks in Iran (i.e., Telegram, Facebook and Cloob) were investigated. Analysis of the results applying the PLS-SEM approach disclosed that firstly website or application quality, perceived interactivity, and subjective norms act as stimuli to influence, relationship quality, social support, and attitudes toward social commerce as organisms, respectively; furthermore, the latter two organisms are also impacted by social commerce construct, which is a stimulus; and perceived interactivity impacts attitudes toward social support secondly social support, relationship quality, and social attitude as organisms together with subjective norms are positively associated with social commerce intention as the response; and finally social support has a significant positive impact on relationship quality which in turn influences attitudes toward social commerce. In human resource management (HRM) system, there are many factors that can affect organisational empowerment. Human resource practices are some of these important factors, which were mainly studied at individual level and were rarely explored at the organisational level. Focusing on power industry in Iran, the current study sought to develop and test an organisational empowerment model based on human resource practices. A mixed methods approach was utilised, including a grounded theory study that was followed by a quantitative phase. The qualitative phase was conducted to develop an organisational empowerment model based on human resource practices. The hypotheses developed in the qualitative phase were tested through quantitative phase, including structural equation modelling. The results revealed that views and attitudes towards human resources as causal factors had significant effects on human resource practices; and human resource practices, contextual factors, as well as intervening variables had significant impacts on organisational empowerment strategies. The aim of this study is to propose an integrated approach of the subjects of Kansei engineering and revised Kano model. Customers' Kansei term, i.e., requirements, emotions, and affections about automobile have been identified and screened by Kansei engineering, and then each of the Kansei terms has been asked from customers using a Kano questionnaire, and in the next stage the collected data has been analysed and classified based on both the traditional and revised Kano's models and evaluation tables, and finally the obtained results have been compared. Findings imply that while classifying various Kansei terms in respect of Kano major dimensions, i.e., must be, one dimensional, and attractive, seems similar based on the traditional and the revised approaches of Kano model, it seems that the revised Kano model provides more accurate information than the traditional Kano model, and this can be effective and profitable to those organisations that compete for higher customer satisfaction Copyright © 2014 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Consumers are living within a media saturated environment, which limits the effectiveness of advertising. This has led to advertising clutter, most prevalent in traditional mass media. The advertising clutter has resulted in marketers moving their advertising focus toward less cluttered mediums, such as mobile advertising. Mobile advertising allows companies to specifically target the right consumers by looking at age, gender and geographic regions etc. Being able to advertise to such a specified target group is an advantage for companies, however the question remaining is how consumers perceive this form of specific targeting advertising. This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the customers' attitudes toward mobile advertising and factors affecting their attitudes.Quantitative data has been collected through a questionnaire. The statements used in the questionnaire are based on previous studies and theories. The data retrieved through the questionnaire has been analyzed using SPSS and Amos. findings shows attitude towards advertising has great impact on attitude towards mobile advertising.
